Cue — Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 30, 2026
Cue is a personal macOS menu bar calendar app used by its developer only. This policy describes how Cue handles data, including data from Google user accounts.
What Cue accesses
- Google Calendar (with your permission): your calendar list and the events on them, so Cue can display, create, edit, move, and delete events you choose.
- Your Google account email address, to label which account is connected.
- Apple Calendar events on your Mac, through macOS's calendar permission.
How the data is used and stored
- All data is processed locally on your Mac and is used only to show and manage your calendar inside Cue.
- Cue communicates only with Google's own servers (sign-in and the Google Calendar API). It has no servers of its own, and it does not send your data anywhere else.
- Google sign-in tokens are stored in the macOS Keychain on your Mac. Event data is kept in memory while the app runs and is not written to any external service.
- Cue does not sell, share, or transfer your data to anyone, does not use it for advertising, and contains no analytics or tracking.
Google API Services User Data Policy
Cue's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Removing access
You can disconnect Cue at any time by signing out in the app or by removing its access at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Signing out deletes Cue's stored tokens from the Keychain.
